Hello! Thanks for stopping in to check out the newest post on the blog. This photography session was an extended family session.
When Erin contacted me in November, looking for an extended family photo session for the week of Christmas vacation , I knew I had to do whatever it took to make it happen! This was a special session as Grandpa had turned 80 back in October, and this week was when the whole family was home for the holidays. The date also was narrowed down even more, as the only day it worked for everyones schedule was Wednesday December 28th …so at that point , I rearranged my schedule to open up the day and then prayed for decent weather.. cause after all it was December and the session was going to be at the beach.
Well as luck would have it, Mother Nature was on our side. It was 43 degrees and NO WIND! Yes, no wind. The chances of that was amazing.. but we all happily took it.
What exactly is an extended family session? An extended family session is your family, your full family all together! I always like an extended family session, because it really is special. It’s a great opportunity to capture photographs with Grandparents, Cousins , Aunts and Uncles. The combinations are endless actually! CMP offers all inclusive collections that is perfect for you and your family. The Lombardo Family chose the Classic Collection which included 25 digitals of their choice from the proof gallery. Prior to your session, I will go over what photo combinations you want to have captured on picture day. I think my most favorite thing at Extended Family Sessions, is seeing Grandma & Grandpa surrounded by their children and grandchildren, all because 2 people fell in love.
With the weather being chilly, we had a plan and moved fast. Here is just a sampling of shots taken that day.
