Senior Spotlight: Jack, Lyman Hall High School, Class of 2025

Earlier this October, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Jack at Hammonasset Beach in Madison for his senior session. It was the perfect backdrop for a young man whose life is filled with energy, passion, and a love for the outdoors.

Jack has been skating since he could walk—or so it seems! Hockey is a huge part of his life, and whether he’s playing for his high school team or one of his club teams, his dedication to the sport is unmatched. In fact, during his freshman and sophomore years, Jack went the extra mile—literally—to prepare for hockey season. As a bus rider, he would often bike the 3-4 miles to and from school to build endurance and get into peak shape. That determination and work ethic are what make Jack stand out, both on and off the ice.

When Jack isn’t on the rink, you’ll likely find him playing street hockey with friends or spending time with his family and his furry best friend, Pieper. Pieper even joined us at the session for a few photos, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to the shoot. At home, Jack is the kind of neighbor everyone admires—always outside helping his parents with yard work, mowing the lawn, or tossing a frisbee to Pieper.

Another project that’s been a big part of Jack’s life is restoring a 1986 Toyota Supra with his dad. This father-son endeavor took over a year to bring the car back to life, and it’s been so inspiring to watch this labor of love unfold. The Supra is more than just a car—it’s a testament to Jack’s patience, perseverance, and willingness to tackle challenges head-on.

When he’s not on the ice or in the garage, Jack enjoys sailing. His love for the water made Hammonasset Beach the perfect location for his senior photos, blending his adventurous spirit with the calming beauty of the shoreline.

As for what’s next, Jack is still exploring his options for life after high school. Whether it’s continuing his hockey journey, pursuing a new passion, or carving out a different path altogether, one thing is certain: Jack will approach it with the same dedication and heart that he’s shown throughout his life.
