Senior Spotlight: Ethan – Coginchaug High School, Class of 2026

Ethan’s senior session took us to one of my favorite spots—Hammonasett Beach—and I couldn’t imagine a better location for him. The relaxed, coastal vibe was the perfect match for his preppy, casual style. His outfit choices blended so effortlessly with the beach atmosphere, making every shot feel natural and timeless.

Ethan is not only stylish, but also an incredibly driven young man. He has been rowing since the fifth grade, and his passion for the sport shines through in everything he does. With plans to continue rowing at the collegiate level—likely Division I—his future is already shaping up to be something special. His discipline on the water is matched by his dedication in the classroom, where he excels as an Honors and AP student.

Beyond his academics and athletics, Ethan has a fun-loving side too. He loves laughing, spending time with his friends, and enjoys every moment with his girlfriend of two years. When he’s not with them, you might find him behind the wheel of his much-loved 2002 4Runner—a car that has clearly become part of his story.

Looking ahead, Ethan has his eye on either Holy Cross or the University of San Diego. If I had to guess, I’d say his heart is leaning toward San Diego—the warm weather and year-round rowing opportunities make it the perfect fit for someone so passionate about his sport. No matter where he chooses, I have no doubt that his hard work, humility, and determination will set him up for success in whatever path he pursues—whether it’s economics, business, or finance.
